Well, that is another Summer League done though it didn't feel like summer most of the time. The final league tables and cup results are here but Leopards won the Expert league and the League Cup, Leopards Too won the Intermediate League, Granite Guerillas took the Quaich, Here for the Craic won the Tankard in a drop off that went to 3 players each. The Men's league was won by Leopards again on TD difference this year again and the Hoodlasses won the Women's league. Think that was all. My thanks to the Quines for staffing the desk and letting me play, the blokes for lining the pitches (and Harvey for cutting the grass despite the horrendous weather at times), all player refs, Duncan Smart for reffing and all of you who turned up week on week right to the end. Congratulations to all the winners.
Week 5 Results: here are the results for week 5 which saw the conclusion of the league matches with Leopards coming top of the Expert league and Leopards Too sneaking the Int A league title in a very closely fought league. Congratulations to both teams. Week 6 will see the start of the cup games in which each team will play the others once in a round robin before we go into play offs.
Aberdeen Touch Rugby 2019 Summer Leagues:

Times for the first 4 weeks should be set but from week 5 onwards they may change so check for updates.

Autumn Mixed and Women's league results: This week marked the end of the Aberdeen Touch Rugby tournament season, I hope you enjoyed the games and look forward to seeing you all next year. Sorry I wasn't there for the last week of the Autumn League. Congratulations to Granite Guerillas (MXO winners) and to Guerillas Girls (WO winners). My thanks to Duncan and Audrey for taking on a fair amount of refereeing but also to all those who reffed. Thanks also to Anna for staffing the desk and to the blokes for lining the pitches. Finally thanks to the Leopards who helped set up, take down and stepped in when I was away. Final league places and results are here
Autumn Mixed and Women's Leagues: The last game this evening was played in the semi-darkness but next week will be an earlier finish so hopefully there will be enough light. Looking at the table, it looks like Granite Guerillas can't be caught and will be this years League winners. Still a dogfight between the two Leopards teams and Hoodlums for second place.
The Women's league is still open with Guerillas Girls having the chance to take the top spot from Hoodlasses next week. I hope you have enjoyed the Autumn league and good luck to all the Aberdeen players picked to represent the Region in the Nationals. As always, thanks to Shire blokes for lining the pitches and Anna for staffing the desk. Results and league tables attached.
Thanks to the teams that took part in today's tournament, it was warn, sticky but some good touch was played and some cracking scores. Fluffy dragons showed that they weren't so fluffy by winning every game and were outright winners. Leopards and Guerillas took one a piece from each other and it came down to TD difference with Leopards edging it by 1 to come second- that interception score by Dave Vale against Dragons being the crucial one. Hope you all enjoyed the day, didn't get too sunburnt and are now pleasantly hydrating. Thanks to Audz who braved the sun and refereed in every game. Scores are here.
I am taking a break now but the Autumn league starts 1 August. Registration will open next week. We are looking to run Women's and possible Men's leagues as well as Mixed.
Week 9 Results: I hope none of you are too sunburnt after this weeks games. Here are the week 9 results. Congratulations to Here for the Craic (Tankard winners) and Xodus (Plate winners). Granite Guerillas got one over on Leopards but it wasn't enough to stop Leopards winning the expert league and the unofficial combined Expert/Intermediate league (both on points difference). Leopards Men won the Men's league and it looks like Hoodlasses can't be caught and look set to win the Women's league. There is one more league game to play (Hoodlasses vs Guerillas Girls) and then we will have drop-off format games for the last week starting at 7pm.
Week 8 Results: here are the results from Wednesday's games. The winners of the 2018 Summer Cup were Leopards who edged Granite Guerillas 4-2 in the final. These teams will play next week to see who wins the league overall. The Quaich was won by Hoodlums, beating Leopards Too 2-1. We will play the Tankard final this coming week with Galactic Guerillas facing Here for the Craic and the Plate final will be contested by Wood and Xodus.
Week 7 Results: congratulations to Xodus and Leopards Too who have won the Novice and Intermediate A leagues respectively.
